Steelers

I got another good job lead today at the Braddock Employment And Training Center.  I’ll email my resume in when I get home.

What a gray, overcast day in Pittsburgh.  Tomlin should give Big Ben time to heal.  Leftwich is an excellent quarterback.  Put him in.  Three interceptions are too many.  It’s tough to win against a mediocre team if you throw three interceptions, let alone against the Colts even if they are having a bad season right now.

It’s lunch time now at the BEATC.  I’ll post this and then work on some business math and on some Outlook the rest of the afternoon.

Still Down And Out In Pittsburgh

What’s new?  The Steelers lost to the Colts.  The people of the United States elected Barack Obama president and Joe Biden vice-president.  The city of Pittsburgh prepares for a bus drivers strike on December 1st.

If there is a bus strike I won’t be able to get to the Braddock Employment And Training Center which is my only source of income.  Thank goodness I applied for early Social Security.  The first check should arrive in December.

Over the weekend I also sent in a cover letter and my resume to another job opportunity that looks promising.  Keep your fingers crossed for me.  I think I still have several productive years left in me if only someone will give me a chance.

A short story is starting to percolate in my head.  I hope I can make that November deadline for the Vestal Review.
