The job developer wasn’t in her office downstairs. She left the building to attend some sort of job development conference.
So I came back upstairs and got on my computer and searched the website of the local hospital that’s going to be here on Friday. Because of what I’m learning here at the Braddock Employment And Training Center (MS Office and data entry) the jobs I have a shot at are File Clerk, Administrative Assistant and Data Entry. (Of course I could go for something like Patient Transportation, Central Supply/Warehouse or Food Service; but if I went for any of them the year I’ve spent here would be wasted and you don’t need an MFA for those positions. In other words a job recruiter would pass over me because I was over qualified. So it’s FC, AA or DE.)
Well, there were no positions open that I could get to by public transportation anyway.
Now I’ll do some business math on the calculator on the computer.
