The Happy Blogger

Here’s a feel-good love story about a man and a woman that takes place in today’s American economy.  Just click on this link: www.authspot.com/Short-Stories/This-Man-and-This-Woman-in-Love.634089

It’s a lovely day to be blogging in the city of Pittsburgh.  It’s a lovely day to be writing.  It’s a sunny 64 degrees and I’m jotting in my notepad, listening to classical music on the radio as I sip a glass of beer and sit on the old sofa in my apartment.

I have to come up with new ideas for short stories and articles but right now I don’t have any…

Thanks to YouTube and Twitter, 47-year-old Susan Boyle is a star.  What a voice.  Good for her…

My niece, Brianna Frost who is a webcam stripper, has parlayed her Internet exposure into a part in a reality show.  Adult entertainment is now mainstream.  What does this mean for our society?  More on this as things develop…

The film, “The Mysteries of Pittsburgh” opens today in Pittsburgh.  The local news papers are panning it.  I read the book and loved it.  What have the filmmakers done to Micheal Chabon’s novel?

I’m surprised you haven’t been paying attention. I’ve been waring folks against this so-called film adaptation since the fall of 2006 when I first launched the Official MOP Film Boycott.

If you’re a fan of Michael Chabon’s novel, you’ll be sad to learn that about 85% of the original story has been CHANGED.

Completely gone is gay Arthur Lecomte, Phlox is now Art’s ex-g/f, Jane has been elevated to leading lady status (in the guise of Sienna Miller), and Cleveland is a bisexual.

What Rawson Marshall Thurber was thinking, I’ll never understand… Or why Michael Chabon allowed him to take such liberties.
