Calling All New Writers

Rejection is a fact of life for a writer.  Before I started getting published in publications like Word Riot, Word Catalyst, The Front and several other publications I got years of rejection notices.

One of the reasons the Pittsburgh Flash Fiction Gazette was started was to give new and aspiring writers a publication where they could learn about writing and a quality publication where they could submit their stories and not get an impersonal rejection notice if their submission wasn’t accepted for publication.

Every rejected story will be given a reason for the rejection.  And if the story would be publishable with more work I’ll work with the writer to get the story in to the Gazette.  All this at no charge.

A story that is publishable will be posted within 48 hours.  Just read and follow the submission guidelines under the ”Free Workshop And Submissions” tab at the top of the page.

It would be a very good idea to read a couple of the stories in the sidebar on the right under “Great Flash Fiction Stories To Read” to get an idea of the quality and the kinds of stories that are published by the Gazette.
