Magazines And The American Short Story

Playboy, Esquire, The Atlantic Monthly, The New Yorker, Redbook, and Harper’s publish some of the best short stories in print and on the web.

There are fewer and fewer outlets for the short story in print.  The Internet has opened an unlimited number of outlets for fiction.  It’s just that all the fiction on the web is not quality writing.

The Pittsburgh Flash Fiction Gazette publishes fiction, too.  The Topless Dancer is a good example of what the Gazette has to offer.

Check out the rest of what the Gazette has to offer in the sidebar on the right under “Great Flash Fiction Stories To Read”.
