Governor Palin has a book deal with HarperCollins that will garner her millions of dollars. The Governorship of Alaska pays $125,000 a year. Unless the book is an absolutely terrible book, millions of Americans will by it and Sarah Palin will make millions of dollars. The catch is she’s got to hand the book in soon, like for a fall publication date. So much money, so little time. If that’s why she abandoned the State of Alaska, that makes perfect, if cynical, sense. She’s already a celebrity. And we know how we Americans love our celebrities.
Maybe Governor Palin is smarter than all of us. After all, politics is theatre, too…
