Can a fiction writer really capture life? As Governor Sarah Palin would say, “You betcha!”
I would never vote for Governor Palin; but if I was as successful as a blogger as she is as a politician…Enough! The Gazette is about writing fiction, not about politics.
Too many novice writers have their flash fiction and short stories take place too much inside the characters’ heads. The author just “tells” the reader what the characters are feeling and thinking.
“Showing” what the characters are feeling and thinking is far more “life-like”. And just like in real life our lives are full of sound. How to Add a Soundtrack to Your Writing will help your fiction to capture “life”.
