I know college students are looking for the new. I’ve been a college student my entire adult life. Even though I’m a Vietnam War veteran I got my MFA in fiction writing in 2006 from the University of Pittsburgh in my hometown. I know a little bit about being a college student.
And of course I know something about writing. If you want to know something about writing you’ve come to the right place. I love history, too. But let’s deal with writing (and blogging) for right now.
Society is now ready for this publication.
Cooking Turkey In A Crock Pot
November 4, 2009 — pittsburghflashfictiongazetteThe Old Soldier just came back from doing some shopping in Bloomfield. I brought back some turkey drumsticks and thighs and threw them in the crock pot. The turkey will be ready later today.
Crock pot cooking is wonderful for a bachelor like me. I walked from Oakland to Bloomfield. Del’s wasn’t open but Armand was. It was a little after 10:00 AM. I picked up a six-pack of beer.
I can blog and drink beer and have a fish sandwich with plenty of hot sauce while the turkey cooks. Talk about good food.
And if I take a nap on the sofa it’s okay. The turkey won’t burn.
