I love cake.  I love pie.  But with flash fiction you don’t get cake or pie.

The answer to how do you write a flash fiction story is simple.  Start a few hundred words from the resolution.

Is it really that simple?  Yes it is.

Now of course, the story has to make sense.  The writer has to know how to begin the story.  Still, the fact remains that a writer of a flash fiction story must begin the story as “close to the resolution as possible.”

Hello, my blogging and writing friends and my Flash Fiction Fanatics.  Think of a flash fiction story as a meal.  There are no appetizers.  There is no dessert.  There is just a plate of food and a drink.  That’s it.

The author of a flash fiction story must make sure that the one plate of food and that drink are nutritious.
