Writing: Don’t Let Your Ideas Escape

Coming up with a good flash fiction idea or a short story idea is the very first step in writing a good short narrative.  You should be saving every idea that pops into your head.

The Old Soldier is old school and carries around a small notebook everywhere he goes; but a lot of you are more tech savvy and carry around devices that can record your ideas.

So get into the habit of recording anything that pops into your head that you can use for a short story.  Out of twenty ideas that you record you may get one good one.  To write your next story, you only need one good one.
