Still Reading About The Vietnam War

Ken Burns, Documentary filmmaker

It’s around 4:00 PM.  Outside it’s still overcast in the 40s.  The Old Soldier has the baseball game on the radio.  Otherwise the apartment building and the city are pretty quiet.

It’s time to take a short break from tweeting and blogging.  There’s green tea in the refrigerator and a fresh load of laundry waits in the bedroom on the bed to be folded or put on hangers.

But before I do anything else I’m going to stretch out on the sofa with a couple of pillows and sip some tea and listen to the ball game and read a little of my favorite history of the Vietnam War.

The third installment of Ken Burns’ Civil War documentary film will be on the telly later tonight.
