Writing Is An Act Of Courage

Writers express many emotions through their writing: despair, disbelief, happiness, outrage, playfulness, empathy and on and on.  Even when the emotion is anger, a writer must have courage, the courage to hope that someone will read the words.

I think that’s why writing has such a hold on so many of us.  We hope someone will read our words.  And in a frightening world it takes courage to have hope.

Good morning, my brother and sister readers and writers.  The blogging day has begun.  It’s around 8:30 AM on an overcast day in Pittsburgh that might get as high as 82.  What new adventures will we share today?

The Old Soldier’s right knee is nearly 100% and I hope to be ready for karaoke this Friday.  Keep reading and keep writing.
