So far today it has been a sunny, chilly 40-something degrees in Pittsburgh. Since my computer is doing a security scan, which usually takes hours, I may get up only two or three posts today. Whenever a security scan takes place, my computer is so slow that I just stop blogging and wait until the scan is over.
But if the Old Soldier can leave you with one thought for today about writing, it is stay the course. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: writing is a journey not a destination.
The main thing that separates writers from wanna-be writers is perseverance. Writers have it; wanna-bes don’t.
The more you write (and the more you read) the more you learn about writing. It’s that simple.
Keep reading (especially the Pittsburgh Flash Fiction Gazette) and keep writing. The Submissions tab is at the top of the page.
