Davy Jones Of The Monkees Dead At 66

The Old Soldier got his Giant Eagle pension check today. So, I’m sitting at the bar in Del’s Bar and Italian Restaurant in the Bloomfield (Little Italy) neighborhood of Pittsburgh, drinking a draft and just chilling out.
Del’s has several flat screen televisions on the wall. They usually have different channels on the televisions. On one screen they usually carry Fox News with the sound mute. I don’t like Fox News.
But I’m sitting there drinking my beer and watching Fox News. I think the newscaster was talking about the Republican Party’s primaries.
Anyway, under the newscast is that strip of news that runs across the bottom of the screen and it said that Davy Jones of the Monkees had died of a heart attack at the age of 66.
The Old Soldier is 65.
