Poetry: Until Morning by Linda A. Long

Delta of Venus

Wake up
Wake up
I need to talk to you
Hurry up
It will be morning soon
I have something to say to you
Please wake up
Do you hear me?
I am talking to you
I need to tell you
I love you
I didn’t say it before
But, I must say it now
It must be free
The burden of not saying it
is too heavy to carry anymore
I must say it
Can you hear me?
Whispering in your dreams
I meet you
I lay my body against yours
And, softly kiss your lips
With love
My hand folded in yours
In a moment in time
In twilight
My heart needs to
See
Hear
Taste
Touch
You
Under the blanket of stars
Rest your weary thoughts
On my breasts
And take peace between my legs
You are loved
Sweet dreams my love
I will return tomorrow night
And lay with you
Together
We lay in love
Until morning comes

My love for words started when I was a young girl and I wrote my first poem. Since that day words have flowed through me like a river. I feel very bless to have this gift. I find I am most inspired to write erotic literature.  I read “Delta of Venus” as a teenager; Anais Nin has been very influential in my life.  Since then writing sensual is my niche. It’s important to accept yourself as you are and find what is right for your life. My blogs are mostly reflective and come out of my own life experience. I don’t offer advice. That’s for professionals. I only share my experiences and hope maybe someone can gain just a grain of inspiration or encouragement through them.
