Andy Warhol, Hunter S. Thompson And Flash Fiction

What do Andy Warhol and Hunter S. Thompson have to do with flash fiction?

Nothing.

But they do have a lot to do with me.  Hello, I’m the Old Soldier (Vietnam War Veteran).  I’m the editor/publisher of the Pittsburgh Flash Fiction Gazette which has been around for three years and eight months.  I want to use Andy Warhol’s sense of art and Hunter’s sense of reporting and apply them both to the Pittsburgh Flash Fiction Gazette.

Oh, I know I can’t even hope to approach or understand the genius of these two men.  I just hope that a tiny bit of their success rubs off on this online magazine.

Hello hello hello, everybody from all over the world.  Here’s a special shout-out to our readers in Europe.

The Old Soldier wrote this post Friday night as he watched the evening news on public television.  The financial news from the euro zone was bad.  Greece and Spain may default.  Both may leave the euro zone.

Is the world on the verge of another financial disaster?
