I’m old enough to remember the nuclear disaster that took place at Three-Mile Island here in Pennsylvania many years ago.  I remember the nuclear disaster that took place at the Chernobyl reactor in Russia many years ago.

Now the Government of Japan is restarting their nuclear plants after the nuclear disaster that took place at the Fukushima reactor in Japan last year.

The world-wide nuclear industry actually has an excellent safety record; but it only takes one mistake to bring death and destruction that will impact a society for decades.

It’s time that national governments find another way to provide energy for their people.
