Are you always pressed to find time to write? Do your responsibilities and commitments leave you so tired that writing anything is the last thing on your mind?
Try writing flash fiction in 30-minute intervals.
Now you will have to find at least 30 minutes that you can devote to writing three or four times a week; but if you can do that you can write a complete flash fiction short story.
The first thing you need to do is to come up with a good idea for a flash fiction short story. You can do this as you go through your normal day or you can use one or more of the 30 minutes that you set aside during the week for flash fiction. Once you come up with a good idea the rest is relatively easy.
Use your next free 30 minutes to do either a rough draft of the idea or to actually write out an entire first draft. You’ll be able to do this because flash fiction is so short. Then with each following 30 minutes keep fine tuning the story until it’s complete. This process may take one week or it may take more than one week; but at the end of the process you will have a complete flash fiction short story, writing it 30 minutes at a crack.
Then go to the Submissions tab at the top of the page, read and follow the guidelines and send your story to me. This magazine is a paying market.
