Happy Birthday: The Gazette Is Four Years Old

Woman As Art

That’s right.  Our little baby is four years old this month.  And I use the term “our little baby” sincerely.  It takes more than one person to give birth to an online magazine.  It takes a publisher.  It takes guest contributors.  And it takes readers and subscribers.

And as parents, I think we’ve done a pretty good job.  Sure, the kid is obsessed with sex; but the kid is also obsessed with blogging and writing.  And the kid is concerned about senior citizens, veterans and writers.

Is our child perfect?  Of course not; but our little baby is still growing and has a lot to offer to the world of online publication.

Happy birthday, everybody!

The Old Soldier is in good spirits.  The Pittsburgh Flash Fiction Gazette has a backlog of over 3,000 pieces of content.  I like to keep a constant rotation of content between the archives and the front page.

Yesterday, another rotation took place.  So, be sure to check out the front page to see if you missed anything.

Keep reading and keep writing that flash fiction.  This online magazine is a paying market.
