Hello, all my fans in Italy and the UK!
The City of Pittsburgh is deep into autumn. The leaves are falling off the trees. I will soon have a good view of the Cathedral of Learning out of the window that faces the campus of the University of Pittsburgh (which is about a 15 minute walk from my apartment building.) The leaves on the tree just outside my window are too thick during the summer for me to see much.
The Old Soldier is in his favorite position: on his back on the sofa with two fat pillows under his weary head as he sips on a bottle of Pepsi Wild Cherry and he jots down thoughts in his notebook about flash fiction, writing and life in general.

Sleepless
Now autumn is here
Leaves cover the empty streets
Waiting for the sun
