The Pittsburgh Flash Fiction Gazette has been a paying market for poetry, articles and flash fiction since March 1, 2012. More on this later in this post.

How’s everyone doing?
The Old Soldier is doing fine. Yes, last night was karaoke at Del’s in Pittsburgh’s “Little Italy” which is about a 15-minute walk from my apartment; but now I take a bus because I finally got my life-long bus pass from the Port Authority because I’m 65. The Pennsylvania State Lottery pays for these bus passes for seniors. So, if you are 65 years old and you live in the State of Pennsylvania you are eligible for a life-long bus pass, too.
But last night the Old Soldier was having such a good time at karaoke that he missed the last bus and had to walk home at 2:00 am. That’s never a good idea. I arrived home safely.

Well, as the Old Soldier gets his finances under control (a pension from Giant Eagle, a pension from the Veterans Administration and his social security) the finances of the PFFG become more stable, too.
Here’s the deal for flash fiction. I like to publish a new flash fiction story from a guest writer the first week of every month. The PFFG pays $10.00 for a flash fiction story. The PFFG publishes erotic, mainstream and literary flash fiction.
Click on the submissions tab at the top of the page for the rest of the details.

Hello, all my brother and sister bloggers, readers, writers and Flash Fiction Fanatics. The Old Soldier is working his way out of a lazy spell and he should be at full power tomorrow. It’s easy to be lazy when you’re retired.
But I love being the editor/publisher of the Pittsburgh Flash Fiction Gazette and retirement can open up opportunities not available when you are part of the workforce. Retirement allows me to be a full-blogger. And the Old Soldier wants to be the best blogger he can be.

The Pittsburgh Flash Fiction Gazette averages over 300 hits every day. I want it to one day average over 400, 500, 600 hits every day. The Old Soldier has work to do.
