A New Sexy Flash Fiction Story To Read

Yes, my brother and sister readers, writers and bloggers the Old Soldier has a new sexy flash fiction story for you to read.  For the past few days I’ve been agonizing trying to come up with an idea and I finally have one.  But first I’d like to do a little blogging.

It’s warm but overcast in Pittsburgh with the sun peeking out every so often.  I haven’t had my walk yet.  I think I’ll walk to Bloomfield, Pittsburgh’s “Little Italy” and  have a couple of beers at Del’s.  I was at Del’s yesterday for a couple of beers.  I said hello to Johnny Del and he was just as friendly as ever.  He’s one of the owners.  I don’t think he knows about The Death of Karaoke, the story I wrote about karaoke at his place.  He might not be so friendly if he reads the story.  If a writer tried not to write anything that might offend someone a writer would never write anything.

The Old Soldier is concerned about Korea, Iraq, Pakistan, Afghanistan, the economy.  I’m 62 years old.  I want life to be simple.  All we are saying is give peace a chance.  Didn’t one of the Beatles do a song with “All we are saying is give peace a chance” in it?…

Anyway, I’ve got a couple of things to do before going for my walk so let’s get to the new sexy story.  I came up with the title “Girls Kissing Girls” a couple of weeks ago but I couldn’t do anything with it.  I posted an article with the title but the article was a bust and eventually I took it down.

Still, what a great title.  I was knocking around for a new short story idea.  I knew it had to be about a relationship.  Then I thought, okay, a relationship between two girls.  After I figured out the locale of the story, and after reading in the newspaper about the same-sex marriage ruling in California, I wrote the story in half an hour.  That’s the thing with writing very short stories.  Once you know what the story is going to be about the writing is the easiest part.   So, I hope you enjoy Girls Kissing Girls.

Classical Music And Blogging

I love that rock and roll.  I grew up on The Rolling Stones, Animals, Kinks, Beatles, Jefferson Airplane, Janis Joplin, Yardbirds, The Grass Roots, The Doors…You get the picture.  I love karaoke and singing rock and roll.  For karaoke I sing Culture Club, Bad Company and White Snake…You get the picture.

But when it’s time to get some blogging done I turn off the rock and roll and put on the classical public radio station.  Every city doesn’t have a classical radio station.  In Pittsburgh we do.

I’m listening to classical music now.  I can’t tell you the composition but for some reason classical music is conducive to writing and blogging.  Rock and roll is not.  At least not for me.

You know what the young people say about rock and roll?  If it’s too loud maybe you’re too old.  I’ll never be too old for rock and roll.  I just can’t blog to it.

Listening To The Radio And Blogging

I’m in my favorite relaxing position (stretched out on the sofa) while sipping on a glass of beer and listening to My Sweet Lord by George Harrison of Beatles fame on the radio as I write in my notepad.  The reason My Sweet Lord is on the radio is because I was listening to the Pitt, UConn game: Pitt 70, UConn 60.

It’s about 55 degrees outside and I’m about to blog this and then make a run to “Little Italy” to see friends.  Spring has definitely sprung in Pittsburgh.  The sun is shinning and I want to get going.
