Still trying to pound out that novel? And even if you do finish your novel, do you know what the chances are of getting it published?
Of course, now a days we can all publish ourselves; but if a novel just seems too damn long, why don’t you gather up all your flash fiction stories and put them in a book?
And here’s an idea that will help to give your collection of flash fiction stories the feel of a novel. Have one character or the same group of characters show up in several of the stories in the book.
That’s what I did.
Hello, I’m the Old Soldier blogging away in Pittsburgh on this overcast, warm Spring afternoon.
In 2005, I published my one and probably only paperback book of fiction. It’s also an ebook. The ebook (the tab is at the top of the page) is available from this blog. The book is made up of 31 flash fiction stories and one short novel. My point is that you can create a pretty unified book from a collection of flash fiction stories if you do it the right way.
It worked for me. Maybe it could work for you.
