The subject of human sexuality has proven to be a goldmine for writers throughout time. And why not? There is a lot of drama involved in sexuality. Drama is organic to sexuality. And sexuality does not mean just sex. It means relationships.
This is why a well written flash fiction story about sex can be so powerful. Then you add the show don’t tell technique, dialogue, characterization, concrete sense detail words and clarity and what you have is erotica to compares favorably with the best literature.
Yes, the Old Soldier is talking literature.
So, if you are a blogger, writer and you write erotic fiction, keep these writing tips in mind. If you want some examples of this kind of writing, click on the Sexy Stories tab at the top of the page.

Making The Commitment To Be A Flash Fiction Writer
Image via Wikipedia
It takes a serious, long-term commitment to write good flash fiction. All of the elements of description, clarity, dialogue, concrete language and characterization that go into good novels and good regular-length short stories must be mastered; and then these elements must be distilled into a few hundred words.
I compare the flash fiction writer to a closing pitcher in professional baseball. The closer may pitch only one or two innings, but if the closer does his job his team can usually put another W in the win column.
Writing good flash fiction takes a life long commitment.

Hello hello hello, readers, writers and my Flash Fiction Fanatics. The Old Soldier is still fighting off the effects of gout in the right foot, but if gout is all I have to worry about than I’m a lucky man. After all, the Old Soldier is no spring chicken.
I’m working with a writer right now to get the writer’s story into PFFG. Hopefully, if we can solve a problem with formatting the story will be up in a couple of days.
The radio is on and President Obama is about to hold an 11:00 AM news conference. The idea of default is scary. It could mean no social security checks, no military pension checks, maybe no checks for the troops, no disability checks…It’s caziness.
