Beer, Eggs And Flash Fiction

Having beer and eggs for breakfast is what happens when you live alone too long.  Hello, bloggers, readers, writers and my Flash Fiction Fanatics.  The Old Soldier just finished off two eggs straight up with a piece of bread and sausage and a couple of cans of Old Milwaukee beer and now I’m ready for action.

It’s a sunny afternoon in the 50s and I have a load of clothes in the dryer downstairs.  One day this week I’ll take a bus down to the Federal Building and begin the process of filing for my military pension.

Enough about me.

What about you?  Are you a writer?  I publish mainstream, literary and erotic fiction.  Last month the Pittsburgh Flash Fiction Gazette got over 3,500 hits so people will see your work.  Plus, I rotate the stories back and forth between the archives and the Home Page.

You can’t beat that with a stick!  So, send me something.  The Submissions tab is at the top of the page.

Submit Fiction 200-700 Words Long

The Old Soldier just came from a walk around the neighborhood; and even though it is an overcast day, it is warm outside and the leaves of the trees are green and yellow and brown and red and I thought about how I’m really in a good place now that I’m retired and can pursue my passions of writing and singing without the worry of having to make money at them and that I had no pains and that maybe I should not worry and be happy.

And this is a good time to encourage any aspiring writers out there to submit your fiction to the most dynamic flash fiction publication on the internet.  I publish romance, mainstream, literary and erotic fiction.  Once your story is accepted for publication it will be in constant rotation from the front page to the archives and back to the front page.

The reason that I do this is because 70% of visitors to any blog are new.  In this way your story will get a lot of exposure.  The most important thing to do to get published here is to read and follow the guidelines and to send something that is publishable.  It doesn’t have to be great.  It just has to be good.

But if it is great, send that, too.

The Submissions tab is at the top of the page.

Do you want to get published?  How about being published in the Pittsburgh Flash Fiction Gazette?  The PFF Gazette is all about flash non-fiction and flash fiction.  The PFF Gazette is growing.  The number of hits that it gets (it got over 2,700 hits in September) is growing and its free email subscription list (it has 32 subscribers) is slowly growing.

In other words, once your writing is accepted for publication in this magazine, people will see it.

At the top of the page is an Anything Goes tab for flash non-fiction and a Submissions tab for flash fiction.  Keep reading and writing and send me something.
