Don’t Fragment Your Flash Fiction Story

I often read flash fiction stories on a site called Every Day Fiction.  Today I read one.  The story was well written, but I left a less than enthusiastic comment.

The writer had broken the story up into several fragments that represented different moments in the story even though the story was about a woman giving birth.

Like I said, the story was well written, but the fragments kept pulling me out of the action by reminding me that after all I was just reading a story.

How do you feel about flash fiction stories that are broken up into definite fragments?
