Ever get a good idea and there is no doubt in your mind that it is a pretty good idea? Well, the Old Soldier got one hell of a good idea a few days ago.
I’m always sending out calls for writers to send in flash fiction submissions to this blog. And over the past two and a half years I have published dozens of Guest Writers in the Pittsburgh Flash Fiction Gazette. I would stick the Guest Writer’s story on the Home page for a few days then it would disappear into the archives.
Well, I’ve decided to go into the archives and to stick a story of a Guest Writer on the Home page for a few days and to keep rotating all this flash fiction talent until every story has had a second run. As a matter of fact I’ll just keep the stories of my Guest Writers in constant rotation, adding a new dimension to the most dynamic flash fiction blog on the internet.
So, whenever you visit this site, be sure to check the Home page for a new story from the archives by one of these talented Guest Writers.

Hello hello hello, my brother and sister bloggers, readers, writers and my Flash Fiction Fanatics. The Old Soldier fell asleep on the sofa last night after watching the movie Tora! Tora! Tora! on retro-television. The movie was about the Japanese sneak attack on Pearl Harbour. The filmmakers went to great lengths to make the film historically accurate. The Japanese even spoke Japanese. There were sub-titles. I loved it.

It’s the beginning of another blogging day. We have a lot to cover. The weather is gorgeous in Pittsburgh this morning. I may even continue my window washing. There are only two windows in my small apartment, but it’s a process.
Explore the blog. Use the search box in the upper right. Read the submissions guidelines at the top of the page and send me something. Tell all your blogging and writing friends about the excitement of the flash fiction short story.
Keep reading and keep writing.

Karaoke At Its Best
Image via Wikipedia
The Old Soldier is a big fan of karaoke. Karaoke allows people to scream and shout and jump up and down. It allows people to work out their issues in public. And if the singer can actually sing, karaoke is more than just karaoke. It becomes performance art.
That’s why the Old Soldier loves karaoke.

The Old Soldier also loves to find flash fiction talent to showcase in the Pittsburgh Flash Fiction Gazette, the most dynamic flash fiction publication on the internet. If you would like to see your work in this magazine, sent me something. Let’s work together.
The Submissions tab is at the top of the page. Good luck.
