I was watching Charlie Rose on public television last night. He interviewed a writer from Turkey. The writer said two things I thought all writers, especially flash fiction writers, can learn from.
The writer’s novels sell all over the world even though he alway writes about Istanbul and its people. He said the reason his books sell all over the world is because, he writes about humanity and the human heart is the same everywhere.
