What does boldness have to do with writing flash fiction?
Hello, readers of fiction everywhere. This is the Old Soldier spreading the gospel of the very short story.
A writer of the very short story makes a bold assumption: that within the confines of a few hundred words, he or she can present a drama that will give the reader an accurate insight into a relationship at a critical moment that will hint at the past and project into the future.
Now that’s boldness.
You will find plenty of boldness on this blog. And if you happen to be a writer, read the submissions guidelines at the top of the page and send me something.
This is the Old Soldier blogging out of Pittsburgh on a beautiful summer afternoon.
