Take a bite out of life and spit it on the page.  In fact, devour life and keep spitting it on the page.  That’s the Old Soldier’s advice to every writer within the reach of these words.

Life is full of happiness and plenty of sadness.  It is life at significant moments that the flash fiction writer tries to capture, a short film about sex and love and hope and despair.

Writing flash fiction and extending the art form is a lovely calling to have.  There will always be plenty for the flash fiction short story writer to write about as long as the human race survives.
