It’s a beautiful Spring day in Pittsburgh, sunny with the high around 55.  The Old Soldier just came back from a beer run and he picked up some ground beef at the supermarket.  I’m going to have a hamburger, drink some beer, watch some porn and then attend the Sonny’s Tavern 17th Anniversary Party.

Yesterday, I stopped in at Sonny’s.  Paul, one of the owners, was there.

The Old Soldier has just finished his rounds for the day.  I got my pension check by snail mail today.

Sonny’s Tavern

Earlier today, the Old Soldier sallied forth to add to his food supply.  It was an overcast spring day in the 30s.

I marched past Sonny’s Tavern in Bloomfield (Little Italy).  As usual, the door of the bar had flyers on it that announced the different events that take place inside: live bands, movie screenings, open mic nights, performance artists and so on.

Well, there was a flyer that announced the 17th birthday party for Sonny’s Tavern to take place on Saturday, March 30th.

Paul, John, Tricia, Mitch and his wife, Tim, Dante, Bill, Teresa, Melissa, Billie, Joy, Joan and a lot of other people who I would know, and people who I would not know, might show up for the party.

If my pension check from Giant Eagle arrives in time, the Old Soldier will definitely be there, too.
