I’ve read many reports about editors overwhelmed with submissions. Well, the evil day has finally arrived here at the Pittsburgh Flash Fiction Gazette.
I have writers scheduled for publication into June.
So, as of today this blog will no longer accept unsolicited submissions.
But the Old Soldier is still committed to showcasing writing talent. This is what I plan to do.
Once I’ve published all of the work that I’m already committed to publish, I’ll open up submissions again to writers who have never been published on this blog.
I don’t know for how long submissions will be opened. Maybe it will be for only a few months later this year. We’ll see what happens.
But as of today, submissions will be sent back unopened.
As for writers who have already had work published in this magazine, I will solicit work from you. In other words, don’t email the Old Soldier. The Old Soldier will email you. And I definitely intend to keep working with many of you, especially those who have had work published here in the past few months.
This is the Old Soldier reporting from Pittsburgh.
