Hey hey hey! Who says you can’t teach an old dog a new trick? Not the Old Soldier. The Old Soldier is now streaming on Twitter. It brings tears of joy to the eyes of the Old Soldier any time he figures out how to use a new technology. Because between me, you and the lamp-post, the Old Soldier was never what you would call “swift” around anything mechanical. Oh, sure, driving a car was no problem; but when the Old Soldier first went online, sending an email stayed a mystery for far too long.

If you haven’t gotten your copy of the Old Soldier’s eBook, The Pittsburgh Stories, what are you waiting for? It only cost $6.00 and you’ll love it. It’s the Old Soldier at his literary best.
You can’t beat it with a stick.

And I’ll tell you what else you can’t beat with a stick. Today, the Old Soldier published a new piece of flash fiction by a guest writer. It’s a great one. It’s so good that the Old Soldier went to the sidebar on the left and clicked on Guest Writers and looked over what has been published these past two years. Do yourself a big favor. If you have not read some of the stories of the Guest Writers to the PFF Gazette, you are missing out on some first-class literature.

Well, it’s around 4:30 PM and the weather person turned out to be wrong about sunshine today. There’s a drizzle outside my windows. But the temperature is around 70.
It’s a good day for blogging. This is the Old Soldier reporting out of Oakland near the main campus of the University of Pittsburgh.

Flash Fiction: Woman, Wife And Lover by Guy Hogan
It’s around 11:30 AM in Pittsburgh on an overcast, warm day. We’ve had a lot of overcast days lately. I need some sunshine. I just want to draw your attention to a story in the sidebar on the right under Great American Flash Fiction Stories To Read. Just scroll down to “Woman, Wife And Lover” and enjoy.
If you are a writer, read the submissions guidelines at the top of the page and send me something.
Keep reading and keep writing. This is the Old Soldier blogging out of Pittsburgh.
