Hello, bloggers and writers.  It is less than one hour before the Super Bowl.  I am back from my beer run to Bloomfield.  I got the beer at Armand’s which has cheap beer prices and serves the biggest fish sandwich in Pittsburgh; but I did not get a fish sandwich.  I have plenty of food at home and ended up thawing out some spaghetti sauce I made over a week ago.

The sauce has peppers, onions and plenty of ground beef in it.  I heated it up and poured it over some hot rice.  The Old Soldier is fit and ready for a Steelers victory.

But this post is really about keeping your imagination productive.  There are all kinds of ways for a writer to feed his or her imagination.  A writer can just live life and keep his or her eyes open.

And a writer can read.  Start by reading some of the excellent content on this blog.  It won’t cost you a penny.

Yes, tomorrow is the Super Bowl.  The Old Soldier is as excited about the Steelers as the rest of the city.  The Pittsburgh Flash Fiction Gazette salutes the Rooney family, the coaches, players and staff and the Steelers Nation.

If you are like me, you want not only quality in your sports teams but also quality in your fiction.  This blog has plenty of fiction for you to enjoy.  There is mainstream, literary and erotic flash fiction on this site.  I like to say that this is the most dynamic flash fiction magazine on the Internet.

But you don’t have to take my word for it.  Why don’t you click on the Sexy Stories tab at the top of the page and begin your journey.

The Steelers played great football.  And they had to.  The Jets showed heart and grit; but at the end the Black and Gold decided to throw for a first down.  If the play failed.  The Jets had a chance to win.  If the play succeeded, the Steelers would go to the Super Bowl.

It was a gusty call by the coaching staff.

Congratulations all around!

Well, this is the last blog for the day.  Tomorrow is another day of blogging.  I always like to say hello to my fans at Twitter and my fans at the University of Pittsburgh.  This is the Pittsburgh Flash Fiction Gazette and the Old Soldier signing off until tomorrow.

I’m sure that by reading some of the content on this blog and checking out the photos of all the nude women, some celebrities and some not, you can’t help but to come up with a few good flash fiction ideas of your own.

Welcome to the Pittsburgh Flash Fiction Gazette, the magazine of flash fiction and erotica.

Take your time looking around.  Right now I’m just doing a little blogging and watching a program on the big band sound on WQED, public television.

So, enjoy yourself.  I’m sure that if you enjoy good writing you’ll be back.  This is the Old Soldier saying, GO STEELERS!  Only one more football game to go, then the Super Bowl.
