Bloggers and writers fall in and out of love. Most of us have been in love. The flash fiction story is perfect for capturing that moment when something good happens in a love relationship. It’s also very good for capturing that moment when love goes wrong. And love goes wrong a lot. The last time I checked most marriages end in divorce. What a bummer.
When a writer has a very short story with two lovers in it anything can happen. That’s why it’s so much fun to write about love.

City Life: Spraying For Bugs

I wrote this in my notebook while I sat on one of the benches in front of Children’s Hospital UPMC at around 10:00 AM. It was and still is a beautiful summer day in Pittsburgh.
I’m really getting into this blogging thing. Now that I’m retired, I think of myself as a full-time blogger. So, I’m really not retired. I just stopped working for other people.
And I think if I’m going to be a successful full-time blogger I have to act more like a reporter and less like a part-time writer.
One reason why I decided to get out of my apartment and take a long walk is because the management of my apartment building is spraying for bugs. It’s something they do every so many months.
My apartment does not have a bug problem, but I’m glad to see that management is on the job.
