Saving Public Television

Pittsburgh has a public television station, WQED.  The House of Representatives has already voted to strip all government financial support from local public television stations.

No other media carries the kind of programming that public television does where you can see science, opera, orchestras, mystery, cooking, children’s programs, finance, ballet, home improvement, history and in-depth news reporting that tries to get to the facts without pushing a political agenda and many other kinds of programs.  Now the bill to cut off support for public television goes to the Senate.
